JEE Main Topper Interview : In conversation with Kavya Chopra
The JEE Main March Session was conducted from 16th- 18th March. The National Testing Agency has declared JEE Main March 2021 result on March 24. Nearly 6.19 lakh students registered for the JEE Main, of which 13 students scored 100 percentile. One of them was Kavya Chopra has scored 300 out of 300 marks and achieved a perfect 100 percentile. First time in the JEE-Main Examination history, a female student has scored full marks; Kavya has become the first female student to achieve the perfect score. She has also topped Delhi State.

We conducted an interview with her so her words can inspire other JEE Main aspirants as well. In this interview Kavya Chopra talks about her preparation strategies, books and future plans.
Here are the excerpts from the Interview
Harshita - Congratulations Kavya in achieving this feat, During the preparation scoring 100 percentile ever came across your mind ?
Kavya - Thank you. I was just preparing to best of my abilities , this came as an added bonus.
Harshita - Did the COVID pandemic affect your exam preparation in any way? How did you manage your study during the lockdown?
Kavya - Initially I did miss face to face teaching and learning, however, online teaching became the new normal later.
Harshita - Why do you want to study engineering? When did you decide to study engineering?
Kavya - My father is an engineer, he inspired me to to take it up as a profession.
Harshita - Which subject was the easiest and which was the toughest in JEE Main? What do you think is a tough thing to manage during the JEE Main exam?
Kavya - I always found Maths and Physics a tad more comfortable than Chemistry. For me balancing school exams with JEE mains was tough.
Harshita - Did you give the February Session Exam? If yes, then how different was your result?
Kavya - Yes. I got 99.978%.
Harshita - Choosing the right Books and Preparation material have always been a concern for many students preparing for JEE Main. So according to you which are some of the best books for preparation that you recommend for JEE Main 2021 for each of the 3 sections and overall preparation ?
Kavya - I followed my coaching modules, I didn't follow too many other books outside the material given.
Harshita - What is the ideal time to start taking mock Tests & What role do mock tests play in JEE Mains Preparation? What was your strategies in particular towards mock tests?
Kavya - I attempted as many mock tests as I could during the last 1 month of my preparation. I tried to balance both speed and accuracy.
Harshita - What advice would you like to give the future JEE Main & share with us the strategies you used to stay motivated in your exam days
Kavya - Lows are a part of any journey you take up in life. You have your good days and bad days. Talk to your parents or grandparents when you are going through difficult times.
